Praveen Prasad is the founder of Flash Professional Services (FPS). We are an Engineering Services firm delivering technical expertise to the Department of Defense. Prior to FPS, Praveen was a Vice President and Division Manager for CACI International Inc, managing a 400+ person business area and a portfolio of programs valued at $290 million focusing on Army Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4SIR) Systems and Services. He directed program strategy, implemented growth initiatives, assessed program performance, and evaluated customer satisfaction while delivering unique solutions for customers.
Previous, Mr. Prasad spent 18 years in government service as a Civilian employee delivering innovative mission-focused networks and integrated tactical communications technologies for the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC) and Space and Terrestrial Communications Directorate (S&TCD). He managed, planned and executed technical research in the areas of networking, tactical communications, including waveforms, network protocols, and the evaluation and integration of commercial wireless local area networking technologies. In addition, Praveen spent 4 years in the Optical Networking field for Lucent Technologies and a startup company. In his role for these companies, Praveen was a Technical Manager responsible for the deployment, turn up and test of networking equipment around the world.
Mr. Prasad earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Syracuse University in 1986 and then went on to earn a Masters in Technology Management from Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ in 1998. He is Army Acquisition Corps Level III Certified in Systems Planning and Research, Development and Engineering (Sys Plan RDE) and Program Management. He has authored a paper while at Lucent entitled “Creating a Bridge from Theory to Practice” and has co-authored publications for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) relating to intelligent agents.
